Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

where can i get this color purple hair dye??

http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi...

please tell me where i can get that dye color. i want that color and permenent dye. where in SoCal do they have that?

stylists? answers?

thnx!

Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

Try Hot Topic. They have some kick *** dye. if you want it really cool then you need to bleach your hair before you dye it purple because it makes it look more intense.

Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

sorry theres no permanant dye of crazy colors. only semi-perm. but you should look in all your beauty stores and dont get manic panic or color jamz. they dont work cause i tried them both

Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

i got mine black yesterday i just bought it from walmart and it worked great.its jet black.

now i need the cut, like that purple haired chick.hah

Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

walgreens has it, I seen it there today, when I accidentaly colored my hair bright yellow. anyway it costs about $11. and I'm in SoCal.

Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

Manic Panic hairdye should have that colour. You can usually buy it from places like Hot Topic or just a haircare store. Otherwise, you might have to go to the hairstylist to buy some, or have them put the colour in your hair.

But you won't be able to find a permanent dye of it, unfortunately. But they shouldn't cost too much; so you'll just have to use "colour protect" shampoos etc.

Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

walgreens and i saw it once at hottopic

Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

Mango is wrong. Crazy colors do come in permanent. Try N'Rage. It bleaches AND dyes at the same time.

Help! hair dye question! please answer!!!?

To my eye, it looks like Bwild but it could be one of the ManicPanic purples, (both are semi-permanent, tho) and probably done over hair that was prebleached:

http://www.bwild.com/bwilhairprod.html

http://www.manicpanic.com/cream%20hair%2...

There are a couple of permanent purple hair dyes, but I do not know anyone who has used them.

http://www.purplestore.com/hair.shtml

Manic Panic is at Venice Beach, CA on the boardwalk at 517 Ocean Front Walk Unit 15 (that's 2 blocks South of Rose Avenue) phone 310-664-1050. The others are all mail order or online, so far as I know.

Hope this helps.

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hai

Ok yesterday I used a hairdye by nicky clarke called 'chilli' and accordin to the picture on the box it was supposed to come out browny/red. However, my hair is now a bright orangey red colour and I am desperate to get rid of it asap. Would I be able to get it a medium golden blonde colour either using home dye or at a hairdressers in the next few days or would I need to wait until it fades? Please help...

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hairdressers?

Oh, don't you hate it when that happens, been there, done that! Sorry to say it but I ended up having to go and get it fixed at the hair dressers, I couldn't wait for it to fade as mine really looked hideous. Good Luck.

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hairdressers?

mostlikely go to a hair dresser and let them help u

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hairdressers?

You could probably get it done at a salon, but I don't know if you would be able to do it at home.

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hairdressers?

I did a similar thing a few years ago - the result was much too orange. I bought a Harmony rinse - dark brown and used that and it covered up the orange.

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hairdressers?

you should dye your hair another color, see on the box how many shampoos the product dye comes out, since it's semi-permanent

you should also see what products your hairdresser recommends for you. That hair dye must of been a bad product for your hair.

hope this helps

alana:)

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hairdressers?

Depending on what colour it was beforehand... I had that problem recently as my hair was salon coloured to a dark auburn and I got antsy and decided to go back to platinum. It took 1 colour removing application, 2 bleachings and a toner to get it back to platinum and get rid of all the orange, but, my hair is FRIED right now...

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hairdressers?

Color won't lift color, so coloring at home with a blonde color will only add to your agony.

Red is usually the quickest color to fade out. Try washing it with baby shampoo or regular dishwashing soap like Joy or Dawn. Or you could use olive oil. It will strip some of the color out.

I'm not sure what a professional will be able to do, but I'm sure that one will be along to answer your question soon.

Hair dye help? Used semi permanent red/brown now BRIGHT ginge/RED could i now get it dyed blonde hairdressers?

You may not need to wait is it fried? The best way to take red out is to go with a brown without red tints. Don't need to leave it on but about 15 minutes just keep checking the status. Then use a highlighting kit the best is radical blonde available at your local sally's about $8.00. If you are too scared to do it yourself call a hairstylist immediatly! Before anyone sees you.

color will not lift color, and red is hard to get out,I just saw at my drug store in the color section boxes of color remover that would work and if not powder bleach and 40 volume peoxide from the beauty supply left , put on hair with clear plastic cap (also at beauty supply) and blow dry with hair dryer till its blond ,can warm it and then just sit on head with no heat and baggy till done. I am a stylist good luck ,email me if you have more questions...sweetiedee30@yahoo.com

you need to have the colour stripped out proffesionally and then another applied. Ooh hen feel for you. Been there!!!

don't dye on top of a semi wait till it washes out

Hair dye trauma...PLEASE HELP!?

I naturally have darkish brown hair that gets lighter in the summer, then I got highlights, and one time bleach was used. I decided I didn't want so much maintenance, so I decided to dye it back to my natural color. However, the color now is SO dark, and I hate it! I bought a clarifying shampoo and have washed my hair 8 times in the last 2 days. It doesn't look any different to me. I just don't like how dark it is. Suggestions PLEASE!!!!! Thank you.

Hair dye trauma...PLEASE HELP!?

There's not a lot of point in washing it that much in 2 days because it's unlikely to help. The only way you can make the colour lighter would be to get a DIY pack that lightens the colour. If you could bear it for a week or two, the colour should lighten quite quickly if you wash it once a day. It'd be much better for you hair than using a lightner which could strip your hair.

Hair dye trauma...PLEASE HELP!?

Get a new hair dye and dye it a ligher color or get your hair highlighted by a salon (DON'T DO IT YOURSELF!!!!!)

Hair dye trauma...PLEASE HELP!?

No- do not dye it again, Loreal make a colour remover, get that and it will lighten it, it wont take it all out but it will lighten it with out damage!!!!!

Hair Dye Color did not show up?

I Died my hiar Burgundy it was a medium brown and the burgundy did not show up can i re dye my hair it has been tuesday? I just dont want to wreak my hair as bad as it is already someone please help me!!

Hair Dye Color did not show up?

i have medium brown hair too and the only way i get semi-permanent hair dye to work is to leave it on longer than they actually tell you too! i know that may sound daft but thats how it works for me. i have been using garnier movida hair dye don't forget to do a patch test before you start.

Hair Dye Color did not show up?

I think you would be able to re-dye your hair safely as you may not have put it in correctly also if it doesn't show up I recommend you get another dye.

Hair Dye Color did not show up?

The hair color you see on the box is what it looks like when put on "stripped" hair ( that means taking out your natural color ) . That's why you don't have burgundy hair.

Hair Dye Color did not show up?

if you dont leave it in long enough you wont see no results. but you can redie it but leave it longer. thicker hair may need more time about an extra 10 minutes. but fallow the directions on the box. you will have to slowly lighten your hair to get it to the color you want.

Hair Dye Allergy Test?

I've been dying my hair with the same dye for years and have never had a problem. Last week I got a tattoo and thought I should do the allergy test. I did it on my inner arm like it said to. About 24 hours later, I developed a small rash of little red bumps on my legs. The bumps may have been caused by heat, as I was wearing tight jeans and in the heat all day, but I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible that I had an allergic reaction to the dye? Does it make sense that I would become irritated on my legs?! Sorry this was so long, I'm just confused and don't want to risk anything. Thanks a lot!

Hair Dye Allergy Test?

I would say, try the test again, under less extreme circumstances. Better to wait a few more days than to have a bad reaction.

Also, it may have nothing to do with your tattoo. The formulation of the dye may have changed slightly. Or, you may have developed a sensitivity to it.

Hair Dye Allergy Test?

I am not even going to get into whether the reaction is caused by the dye, primarily because I do not know, but I am going to lecture you on its use..commercial hair dye has some devastating stuff in it and is proven to be very harmful to the body...the scalp absorbs the chemical immediately and from there into the blood and on to every organ in the body...for example, if one was to put a clove of garlic on the instep of the foot it will be absorbed and showing in the blood in less than a minute...it is conceivable then that a reaction to a dye can show anywhere in or on the body... if you are going to dye your hair then there are plenty of natural dyes at any health food store and these are much better and safer to use...and you know, in most cases your natural colour may be the best for you.

Hair Dye Allergy Test?

I wouldnt risk dying your hair until your tatoo has healed, as it is classed as a open wound, so your body is fighting off potential infections from that.

My friend got her nose pierced, and then found she developed an allergy to her facial cleanser for a while after that.

Manic Panic Hair Dye..?

I'm Bleaching My Hair Before I Dye It Any Other Colour..

I Jw, On Most Sites Selling MP Hair Dye, It Says 'Semi-Permanent' But In What Context Do They Mean. o.o

Like Does It Wash Out After So Long Or Just Fade?

I Wash My Hair Everyday So If I Did Use It How Long Would It Last.

And If It Washes Out, Don't They Do Like A Permanent One Or Somthing? -.o

Manic Panic Hair Dye..?

First on bleaching your hair: Using bleach for lightening hair is more risky than most hair coloring processes; however, the reward can be great.

Bleaching your hair effectively strips what appears to be our "natural" hair color, exposing the underlying pigment lurking beneath the surface. Depending on how dark your hair is naturally, your underlying pigment could range from rusty orange to pale yellow.

Removing those pigments allows for a true neutral, ash or platinum blonde. If you want to lighten hair more than 3 or 4 shades or achieve a very bright punk hair color, bleach is the best product to use.

Okay, now to answer your questions.

1. Semi permanant means that it usually faddes out quickly or washes out.

2. Most semi permanant hari colorings last about 24 washings...so, if you wash your hair daily that would be 24 days.

3. Thre are pemananant hair colors, but they too fade with time and need to be touched up about every four to six weeks.

Manic Panic Hair Dye..?

I haven't seen a Manic Panic permanent hair dye. Me and my husband use the semi-permanent a lot and it will start to fade. The little containers don't cost a whole lot so we just retouch our hair when we have to. There are other funky color dyes that are permanent but I don't know the brand names of it.

Manic Panic Hair Dye..?

it fades.

i bleached my hair then dyed it "stop sign" red %26amp; it faded to pink after a month or so. it never completely washed out, i tried bleaching it twice afterward %26amp; it STILL was pink. i ended up having to dye it a darker color to cover it up.

Manic Panic Hair Dye..?

it fades really easily you would propably have to re dye it every week if you washed your hair with regular shampoo every day

Does black hair dye fade?

Yea so I wanna kno if black hair dye fades? and if so how fast? Also is it true that black hair dye is good for your hair?

Does black hair dye fade?

yeah black hair dye fades to a lighter shade of black... and no.. i dont think dying your hair at all is good for it =/

Does black hair dye fade?

all hair dye fades eventually. But the black tends to stay pretty well. Black hair color is not necessarily good for your hair. it tends to be less damaging than lightening the hair. And darker colors make the hair look fulle and shinier. Black rarely looks good if it's not what you were born with. Dark brown's more flattering.

If you want your color to fade faster use a cheap clarifying shampoo. Prell or I've even heard dish soap though i wouldn't use that.

Does black hair dye fade?

heck yeah it fades..

Does black hair dye fade?

It depends on what color you use, if you get it professionally done it will last longer, b/c they use professional hair color, not something out of the box. Also you need to use a good color treated shampoo and conditioner, it will help your color last longer. If you have highlights, it might fade out a little bit more in those areas, but sometimes it looks better b/c it gives it more dimension to your color. Good luck!

Does black hair dye fade?

yes it fades. after a while you will get a dark brown, but it takes a very long time. its not really good for your hair, but most of the time dying your hair a darker color than your natural one can make it appear shinier and healthier, especially if you used a semi permanent dye like Clairol natural instincts.

Hair dye gone awry at the roots?

Hi, I wanted to dye my hair all a maroon color. I used a 10 volume developer and L'OREAL Magenta color (which gave me the color i wanted anyway)

The issue is that i forgot to put it on the ends of my hair first, so now i have colored roots, and the ends aren't really colored at all.

How can i fix this and make it all a fairly even burgundy/maroon?

Hair dye gone awry at the roots?

Get more colour and just do the ends.

Hair dye gone awry at the roots?

hair color will fade. and if its pernament it will stay until your roots grow out and then you will have 3 colors. maybe talk to a stylist for help of what you should do. or you can try ways to fade it or. to re color but its very damaging

How long after i dye my hair can i re-dye it again?

I have a birthday coming up less than 2 weeks and i just got my hair dyed. I wanted a little something darker but i wasn't thinking this dark. Now it's been about a year since i last dyed it, and it was light golden brown. I assume because my hair was so light that's why it came out this way. It's been 3 days now and i still have a little dye coming out when i wash it. Overall, I HATE IT!!!!!! I picked the color dark golden brown which looked nice in the book. I want to change this before my birthday, so how long should i wait before i re-dye it again?

How long after i dye my hair can i re-dye it again?

You can do it tomorrow if you want! You can re-dye your hair the same day you dye it.

How long after i dye my hair can i re-dye it again?

If your hair is healthy, you can do it again in 7 days. If not, wait 2 to 4 weeks.

Help with at home hair dye for blondes.?

I have golden blonde hair and my roots are growing in a bit (im naturally a brunette)...I usually just do at home dye's to touch up my roots but I wanted to go a hue darker. Nothing drastic, just a little warmer. My hair color descends from a golden blonde at my roots to a lighter blonde at the tips...I want something a little more carmel/honey colored. What would be my best bet? Which brand is the best to do this? I last used Revlon ...that new line, cant remember what it's called...but it has the color lasting conditioner that you use once a week...I dyed my hair golden blonde with that.

I also wanted to add that about two years ago I tried to go a bit darker with an ash blonde color and it made a part of my hair purple almost...I had to wash it twice until it went away then my hair looked like it had red in it....that was Revlon too, but it was the cheap box that is like 3 bucks.

Help with at home hair dye for blondes.?

Stay away from the cheap boxed haircolor from drug stores %26amp; grocery stores. Visit you local Sally Beauty Supply and buy a professional haircolor like Clairol Professional or Wella. Some Clairol brands: Miss Clairol, Complements or Clairol Professional Premium Creme. In Wella, choose Wella American Classics Permanent liquid or creme. Pick a blonde shade by comparing the hair swatch samples displayed on shelf. To obtain more of a carmel, honey, choose a blonde with a violet base. This will cancel out some of the warmth, but still leave enough to give you a honey beige. Be certain to choose the appropriate developer. If you are brunette and like that blonde look, you probably need to consider using a 30 - 40 volume developer. DO NOT apply this haircolor to your ends, only your roots...that's why you ended up with purple ends. If you want to refresh the color on your ends, you need an entirely different formula for the mid-shaft to ends. In this case, you need a deposit only, no lift, no ammonia haircolor like: Clairol's Radiance, Clairol's Complements Demi, Clairol's Second Nature or Wella's Color Charm Demi. Again, view the swatches on display to select the shade you are looking for. You will need to apply permanent on your roots, let it process 20 minutes, then apply the 2nd formula of demi on your mid-shaft to ends, let it process 10 minutes and then rinse, shampoo, and condition your entire head. In reality...you may just want to make it easier by visiting your hairdresser. This is a major process.

Help with at home hair dye for blondes.?

If you are still planning on doing a blonde shade and you have dark roots coming in I WOULD NOT recommend doing it at home! Blonde is tricky and I would never recommend going anywhere but a professional to deal with blonde shades. I can't tell you the number of horror stories I have been through with blonde. My hair literally turned a green color (no chlorine involved!) a couple times. Also a professional can tell when the color has developed so you don't leave it on too long. The box colors just give you a GUIDELINE and if you leave it on too long for your hair, I PROMISE YOU, you will regret it. And then you will end up going to a salon to get it fixed!

I have also gone the route of going to an actual beauty supply store and had the same results. Much of the color process depends on how long it takes your hair to take the color. So if you buy professional grade and don't know how to tell if the color is developed in your hair, don't do it that way either.

Hair dye question???

k well i am blonde and i have already done the dark underhalf thing... but i need to re-do it and i would like to know a good quality but cheap brand of permanent hair dye..... any suggestions i forgot the one my mom used last time to dye it...

Hair dye question???

If you have a Sally Beauty Supply near you, I would suggest either Complements or Ion. They are both really conditioning and have always come out true to color for me.

Hair dye question???

L'Oreal preference works really good.

That "100% color" stuff also works fairly well for the price.

Hair dye help? :) thanks.?

i want to dye my hair tomorrow. im getting it at walmart. so what brand should i get? i want a dark dark brown, almost black. help please. (: i also have somewhat damaged hair so i need something that will nourish it or whatever.

Hair dye help? :) thanks.?

Get Garnier, it is good color and smells good

Hair dye help? :) thanks.?

garnier or revlon

Hair dye help? :) thanks.?

hey I like feria %26amp; garnier ! both do a good job !

Hair dye help? :) thanks.?

I like L'Oreal Feria in espresso. You should purchase some deep conditioning treatments for damaged hair too. I like Pantene.

Hair dye help? :) thanks.?

Get garnier. I would go to their website for their colors. Expresso would be nice, and the conditioners would help. If you hair is really damaged I would wait and go to a proffessional colorist.

Hair dye help? :) thanks.?

Hi! I use Preference by Lo'real. It has conditioners in it and I like the texture of my hair afterward. A little advice about darker colors - don't go too much darker than your natural color. It will look artificial and may wash out your skin tone making you look pale.

Hair dye issues?

I have naturally dark hair..and I want to know why when I buy dye from a box thats like red or something it dosent work....I always buy the temporary...to see if I like it...but besides a light light tint I never get color whats up? It says on the side that if your hair is like brown to black it will lighten this much but it dosent?

Hair dye issues?

There are (7) stages to light up your hair.

From black or dark brown, it has to go down 7 stages to

make what is called a perfect "LIFT"

So, if you are dark brown and you buy red, it's not going to lift

your hair only but perhaps (1) step. which is not much.

You don't explain what color you want to be. But keep in mind,

that you go thru 7 stages to bring it from dark to pale light blond.

If you buy a semi permanent tint, forget it. That's not going to do it.

You need a real tint with peroxide in it to make the true lift

of color. Get it?

Hair dye issues?

you have to have a good amount of bleach to bring hair down to lighter and that kind of volume you will not find in a box when hairdressers do it they use either 30 volume or 40 bleach and the color, if the box is not working for you you will have to have it professionally done.

Hair dye issues?

You also may not be reaching your desired color if you have previous color already on your hair. Color does not remove color. Hope that makes sense.

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where

All of the hair dyes i've found state on the box that it's not recommended to dye blonde hair to black....And I want black hair!!!!! Also, how silly would it look to have black hair and medium to dark blonde eyebrows?

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

it is recommended on the boxes to not color blonde hair straight to black but you should do it in steps such as brown then black however...i have natural blonde hair and i recently dyed my hair to black and it was just fine...just leave the color on a little longer than it says on the box to make sure it penetrates the hair...

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

Look for Manic Panic products on line. They are not toxic chemicals but cool stains.

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

Don't damage your hair by using dye. Be a natural blond. Hollywood worships a natural blonde. Why should you be different, Not!

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

Maybe they don't recommend it because it is really hard to get your hair back to blonde if you should change your mind about it? Yeah, it would look silly to have black hair with blondish eyebrows. My mother in law uses the haircolor on her brows as well as her hair....but that isn't recommended either. :)

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

DON'T even mess with that....go see a specialist at a hair saloon, it will be well money spent...to have it done right...and in baby steps...dying hair black is just as bad as going blonde...and if you would like to know...depending on your age black hair can make you look hard and older than you are. Dark brown would probably be a better choice.

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

Just leave it blonde because later in the years if you keep on using the dye products your hair will die off and get hard and real dry because of all the chemicals it has in. Just leave it blonde besides blonde is good.. don't you see how many fake blonde's their is in the world.. just leave it blonde and be happy your lucky.

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

ok...well ijsut changed to dark brown to blonde..haha...and my hair dresser said that there was NO WAY to change that quick becuase of all of the chemicall...so i had to get heavy highlights and about 2-3 times you will be blackk hair...

that is what i had to doo...go to your hair dresser and ask him/her. even if u r not gettin it done professionaly they will still help..

good luck

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

Are you sure about this? Black hair is pretty but just thinj if youll stick with it, if you decide to go back to blonde it wont be so easy, youll need to decolorate hair and this will damage it a lot..a LOT.. but if youre sure about it better go to a salon, youre black hair will turn orange-ish when the color starts fading out, think about it blonde chick always get more attention jaja and with the eyebrows better dye them too.. youll look weird

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

i would of course recommend going to a salon because they will know what to use on your specific type of hair but if u cant afford a salon u can get miss clairol in any drugstore or super market...i would use dark golden brown....u have to use something with a gold base i dont know think they make golden black but golden dark brown is pretty dark...if its not dark enough then u could put the black on the brown hair with better results than putting it on blonde hair.

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

Okay, word(s) of advice:

If you're not sure what you're doing, I suggest you let the professional do it for you. You have to pay and it won't be cheap, but we are talking about our hair here... it's our CROWN~ I personally wouldn't want to mess with it on my own if I'm not sure what I'm doing.... if they start falling off, OH you ARE going to cry. Pay someone to do it- I don't have blonde hair but I know it's doable to turn it to black, just like it's doable to turn my black hair to blonde. Just don't do it yourself please.

BTW, if you decide to dye your hair back to blonde once you're tired of the black, you can always do it. Think Renee Zellweger! Only thing is, you also need to let the professional do it for you.

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

well go to walmart

Is there a hair dye for changing natural blonde to black? If so can you tell me the brand and where to find it

The reason they say not recommended for blonde to black is you will probably get green. Blonde hair is actually hair with no pigment. To get it to black you first need to put in red filler, then you can go darker. It would be best to go to a professional. If you can't afford that, then try a beauty school. They charge less, but they are supervised and won't ruin your hair

What is tha best hair dye for Black n Dominican texture hair?

i wanna color my hair Black but i have thick n curly hair so i wanna know what hair color is good for my texture hair plus i have very long hair down to my waist n i dont want anything that makes my hair fall out...so whats a good hair dye?

What is tha best hair dye for Black n Dominican texture hair?

Well, it depends. If you use relaxer, you really shouldn't be coloring your hair, you should use semi-permanent like Jazzing, those are affordable and if you relax your hair they help to add shine, and strenght to your hair. If you don't relax your hair you could use a wide variety of colors like Salerm, Perfecta, and Miss Clairol.

What is tha best hair dye for Black n Dominican texture hair?

Before you color your hair black, consider this... how long will u want it black? When u change your mind, and want the black out, depending on how long you have dyed it black, it will be that much harder to get the black out evenly, and without minimum damage. If, when u have new growth, you just do the roots, it won't be so hard, if you dye it black all over everytime you have growth, the ends will be saturated with black, and will be harder to lift. Then, you will have to pay for a corrective color, and that will cost $$$.

Something to consider...

The best one that I've tried (I'm Panamanian) %26amp; it's not really harsh to the hair is L'Oreal. It's not the one you would buy from a drug store. It's the Professional one. You could find it @ your local beauty supply. Good luck!

Hair Dye Tips/Help?

I want to dye my hair with unnatural colors.

No, not the whole thing, just the sidebangs.

What colors would look best with brunette hair?

I really want unnatural shades, and I ATLEAST want

two or three colors.

Please share tips, pictures, experiences, anything.

Hair Dye Tips/Help?

I have dark brown hair, and I love the color combo of Purple, Lime Green, and Turqoise :)

Hair Dye Tips/Help?

I really like dark red or burgendy in brown hair.

Hair Dye Tips/Help?

When you say unnatural shades, do you mean colors like pink, blue, and purple?

I would go with a crimson red, and papaya color. Maybe do the bangs in both shades, then have highlights put throughout. They'll have to bleach the strands first, then add the color afterwards. You cannot lift color with color. I've died my hair brown before, and had the crazy papaya shade put in it. It was awsome. Really creates contrast. Its like a bright orangey pink. somewhere in between really.

Good luck

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

I used to dye my hair red, then foolisly decided to go back to my natural very dark brown colour. I used a clairol prelightener on my hair about 10 months ago as I really wanted to go back to red but it didn't lighten the part that had been dyed brown as much as my natural hair. When I put the red dye on it after it wasnt as vibrant a red on the bottom as on the top. Im still desperate to go red again and cant afford to go to a salon. I was wondering if I could achieve an even colour by bleaching my hair? Also if a red dye would then take to my hair properly? If anyone can help or give me tips on how to do this I would be grateful. x

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

Oh i wouldnt, your hair will turn out like straw, and think of the roots!!! :(

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

if you want all your hair to fall out, sure.

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

yes

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

If you want to go bald

Go for it! sure!

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

yes thats how it is suppose to be done for proper color...bleach it then dye it

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

if you bleach your hair, and then dye it over, it will get really really damaged, but it works. i bleached my hair over the summer, and put teal undertones and it was really really damaged. but it looked awesome!

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

yeah. the dye works and sticks and shows up a lot better that way, but your hair will get really dried out

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

It will damage the hair. My best friends mom is a hairdresser and she advises against it. Even if it DOES work, the color won't be what you want it to be.

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

You can. It will kill your hair depending how long you leave the bleach in. But make sure you use a hair color for red that puts a lot of nutrients back into your hair when you bleach it, because it will need it after the bleach, unless you want crunchy hair

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

One thing you have to remember is, most of the time any color that goes over bleached hair is going to be a lot lighter than intended. You may end up with orange, or even pink hair if you dye the red after the bleaching. My neice bleached her hair blonde awhile back, then went to dye it burgandy and it ended up being a grey color at first, and she had to re-dye it. Just something to think about before you make the bleach %26amp; red dye decision.

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

Find a beauty store and get this stuff called kalidescope you put it on your hair until the desired shade, it goes through them all from brown to redish to orange eventually to white. That will let you get your hair to the right shade before you dye it again.

you will also have alot left in`case you decide to change colors again.

Make sure you test and wait between colorings avoid scalp

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

You should get some of that stuff called bleach out you can purchase it at walmart then dye your hair the color you like. You can also go to the salon and let them do it the right way.

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

u should pull ur hair in a pony until ur get the money 2 go to a salon bleaching your hair even w/ a pro doing is very stressful on hair so u doing it urself is a surefire way to come out looking like sisqo

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

Using bleach, or lemon juice, ect. Will fry your hair, so it's highly advised not to.

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

Check what ever brand you plan to use . There is a [800] number on the box or the info sheet inside for you to call and talk to a hair consultant they will help you to get the colour you want. If you know the colour you want . It helps if you have the colour [name %26amp; number ] from the box, so they know exactley what colour you would like to be. Don't buy until you talk to them good luck!

Can I bleach my hair then use a regular red hair dye?

in ur case avoid bleaching. it l damage hair. see what color will work w/o bleach---

Kool aide as hair dye?

I have redish-brown hair.

I am wondering if it is a good idea to dye my hair with kool aide.

My mom wont let me dye it.

Does the kool aide hurt your hair?

I just want it to last a week or two.

How much would i use.

Also, I am just thinking about doing only the underlayer of my hair. and only the tips on that.

:]

Thanks.

Kool aide as hair dye?

KoolAide is not made to be hair dye - you CAN use it but i'll drip right out and it'll only last a day. You have to have LIGHT blonde hair though.

Kool aide as hair dye?

ok i tried the whole kooleaide thing and it didnt work!!! i went to a salon and asked them about why it didnt work and they said you have t obleech your hair white first for the koolaide thing to work so i wouldnt do it if i were you.

Kool aide as hair dye?

it dosnt dye ur hair it just colors it and it probably wont work on dark hair either and if it does its not gonna last a week unless u dont wash ur hair for a week ( =

Kool aide as hair dye?

i would not suggest it, it never looks very good. Go to target and get color pulse. it's a hair mouse that colors your hair for only a few days to a few weeks depending how often you wash your hair.

Kool aide as hair dye?

KKK YOU IDIOTIC PERSON don't (try) too die your hair with kool-aid!! (personal expierience) kkk? it damges your hair and doesn't do anything kk it doesn't even make it have colour IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kool aide as hair dye?

Go for flowers or vegetables... depending of the color... it's natural %26amp; safe way to do it...

Kool aide as hair dye?

I don't think you'll be able to see anything with Kool-Aid in your hair because it is too dark. And Kool-Aid doesn't hurt your hair, it'll just make it sticky and maybe hard to wash off. If you want one that will last for a while but not permanently, just buy a demi-permanent or semi-permanent hair dye.

Kool aide as hair dye?

NO god, don't. Ever. It might look okay for the first day, but every time you wash it it will be TERRIBLE looking. The color totally changes into a different color. Lets say you chose red, the next day it would be orange, blue it would turn green, so on and so forth. Plus it will make your hair look fried. The color NEVER GOES AWAY, either. You'll have it for a long long time.

Convince your mom to buy a wash out color. The best ones have an orange wrapper on them with a drawing of a cartoon girl with brightly colored hair. They come out really nice and make your hair silky smooth. I have no idea what brand name they are, though, sorry. Its been 2 years since I've used them. They last for awhile, three weeks or so, and it should definitely be out of your hair by then.

Kool aide as hair dye?

all i know is that when my friend tried it it didnt hurt his hair and it looked awesome. you should just keep putting it in until it looks good

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

My natural hair colour is brown and it was bleached blonde for 7/8months and last week I used semi-perm pink dye on it. I want my fringe blonde and to keep the rest pink so do I need to get hair colour stripper to get the pink out first or will bleach blonde go over the pink?

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

the bleach will take the pink out, don't fry your hair!!

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

if its semi permanant just wash it a lot because it only stays 5-8 washes... if it still doesn't come out just bleach over it... don't use color stripper its really harsh and should only be used on black or red hair

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

If you use a stripper it could literally cause a lot of damage. Strippers remove color just like bleach does. Get it done professionally if you want to be sure you don't ruin your hair. And blonde hair color over pink will NOT work.

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

if its semi then you can wash that out

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

the prof. stylist above me doesn't seem to really be a professional or know what shes talking about.

bleach will remove color.. but i wouldn't suggest it.

go to a salon and have them strip the pink out.

don't try to put bleach over it because theres a chance you're hair will fall out! be careful

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

Bleach :) GOOD LUCK

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

bleaching hair makes it more porous and prone to more damage. im not a hairdresser but i recommend going to see a colour technician who will take the pink out without damaging your hair too much

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

Well I've only dyed black over pink. But blonde should cover up the pink. Just get it done professionaly.

Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

Your hair is too weak right now.

When was the last time you bleached it?

If when you wet it, it stretches, avoid bleaching your hair until atleast 1" of your natural hair grows out.

If you want to speed up the fading of the pink, use a laundry detergent.

Which dye did you use?

I've been using Manic Panic or Beyond the Zone for years, and I'll tell you that when they mean semi-permanent, it doesn't mean a couple of washes, it means that most of it fades, and the rest is permanent. I have green, blue, and pink in my hair from dying over and over the different colors, and it always fades back down to those base colors.

You can bleach/strip your hair all you want, but I warn you that it will fry.

Go get the edges trimmed and ask the stylist what you can do further.

Is there a special type of hair dye for really resistant hair?

Im 13 years old and I've dyed my hair 3 times. I even bleached the tips of my hair once, too. But whatever I do, the dye always comes out after about 2 weeks! Like TOTALLY washes out! And even when I bleached my hair, it only went a couple shades lighter. Any suggestions on REALLY strong hair dyes?

p.s. Im white and my hair is naturally brown.

Is there a special type of hair dye for really resistant hair?

For one thing you might not be using enough color, depending on how long or thick your hair is You might need to use 2 or 3 boxes of colour to really cover your hair good, that could be why it fades fast, because there is not enough colour grabbing your hair. It also sounds like you need to use a filler in your hair, for example try putting the colour on wet hair or add a bit of water to your colour formula, water acts as a filler, in a Salon a Proffesional might use something else for a filler but water is safe and works good, it helps the colour to grab your hair when colour is applied. As for your hair bleaching and not getting it very light is probably because your not using a high enough volume of peroxide with your bleach mixture. Try this advice and I'm sure it will work for you.

Is there a special type of hair dye for really resistant hair?

yes, BLEACH

Is there a special type of hair dye for really resistant hair?

try paint thinner mixed with bleach

Is there a special type of hair dye for really resistant hair?

You really need to go see a cosmotologist

Is there a special type of hair dye for really resistant hair?

The problem is that the color you have access to at the store just isn't very strong, and very resistant hair needs professional hair color. Your best bet is getting it done professionally.

If you still insist on doing it yourself, find your local Sally's Beauty Supply and the employees will help you pick what you need and tell you how to do it. The color there is a little closer to what professionals use. But just remember, it's called professional for a reason, because we know what we're doing. It's a lot easier to make mistakes when dealing with resistant hair, and you could end up doing something really damaging or something you really hate.

Good Luck!

Is there a special type of hair dye for really resistant hair?

One of my friends had the same problem. Your hair is probably porous (meaning your hair under a microscope looks like a sponge), and you would need to go to a professional.

Is there a special type of hair dye for really resistant hair?

Below are some tips on doing ur hair a home.

What color dye r u using? Red dye washes out really fast.

U need a pro dye from Sallies. U need to use 20, 30 or 40 volume peroxide: a good pro formula from Sallies to mix w/ the dye to make it STRONG so the dye will take 2 ur hair. Then get enough hair dye to cover ur hair (ususlly 2-4 bottles) %26amp; a tipping bottle for application. Poor the dye into the tipping bottle and add the same amount of peroxide (equal parts dye to peroxide always). Shake gently -%26amp; make sure 2 mix it well. To process you will need heat. Once u apply the dye mix, u need 2 let it sit on ur head for ~45minutes under heat like a sun lamp, dryer or u can put a plastic cap on it and put a hot towel on ur head and keep reapplying as it cools for the 45 mins or hold a blow dryer to heat it (just b sure it's covered w plastic if u blow dry b/c u don't want to dry it out).

Just some thoughts: idk if Sallies sells pro peroxide %26amp; dye to non-professionals - if u cant get it, dont give up. just try the heat method. Also, r u going darker or lighter than ur natural?

For a final try, U might want to go to the salon once and have them start it off and then u can follow up with it after that. If a salon can't do it then average store formulas wont work.

I'm having a problem with my hair dye... =[?

I have really dark brown hair and I've been trying to dye it a lighter shade of brown... not too light though. Since my hair is dark, I got dye kits that bleached it while the color is processing. I tried it once but the dye only came out on my roots. So a friend told me that it probably didn't come out on the bottoms because of all the product build-up on my hair. So I bought a clarifying shampoo %26amp; shampoo-ed it really goooood. So tonight I tried dying it again, but it is still only coming out on the roots. %26amp; I don't wanna keep spending $15-$20 on dye and it not working. Any suggestions on what to do? I don't know what else I could do that would make the hair dye go on all my hair =[ Helppp

I'm having a problem with my hair dye... =[?

dye cant lift dye. its only lifting your roots because that is the natural hair regrowth, when i went lighter i bought a hair color remover from wal-mart, which lifted the color i had put on it with out damaging my hair too much, then dyed it the color i want, just make sure to use a good conditioner when you are finished

I'm having a problem with my hair dye... =[?

its b/c color cant lift color to a lighter shade....you will have to actually bleach it out then wash it out dry it then recolor it....best thing to do it have it done at a salon to avoid frying your hair and messing it up

I'm having a problem with my hair dye... =[?

how long have you been coloring your hair? your friend is right, if you have colored it multiple times, the color is so built up in your hair that it cannot be lightened. The roots, where there is little or NO color, will lighten, but color cannot lift (lighten) color. Your best bet would be to go to a salon...they have more powerful but safe and professional color removal systems...get your hair lighter and one solid color, then leave it alone and condition it well! Good luck!

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

I have very light blonde hair and I want to use a temporary dye to dye it black to see what it would look like before I use anything permenant. I don't want to use a spray because they suck and those comb in things suck too. Does anyone know of a really good temporary black hair dye?

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

I strongly advise you not to do this to your light blond hair. Even though I can tell you that Natural Instincts by Clairol is a "temporary" hair color it will stay in your hair for much longer than the box states because the color pigments 'grab' onto the dead, dry hair and will stay there until bleached out.

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

nope

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

that halloween spray stuff works but it stinks

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

Try spray on Hiar dye.

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

i wouldnt recommed that - if ur blonde naturally - it will really clash with ur skin tone etc and will look completely un natural.

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

umm that will screw up your hair! it will turn it like purple because of your natural hair color

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

dont do it,

light blonde hair will go brown or ginger

i know from friends experience

many friends

warning you

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

Costume shops have it also some beauty supply stores I have seen it in. But even if it is temporary I think it will stain your hair and might take a long time to return to normal.

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

have you tried nice and easy semi-permanet hair day that should do it for you xxxx

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

color pulse %26gt;electric black

it stays in for about 3 weeks i believe. Bright orange packaging from walmart or any drugstore. You wont miss it,

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

I think your best bet is just to go to walmart and look at the boxes find out whats permenant and non permenant..annd instead of putting it all over your head take just a little peice of hair and put it on and if you like it then do it to your whole head if not wash it out!

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

I'd be careful using anything yourself as even temporary hair dye can tint very light colored hair permanently. Talk to a trusted hair salon about options. Good luck!!

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

Nooo! Don't do it!

My aunt got my little cousin Digi-Makeover.

You take a picture with the thing and you can add black hair. Any color. It can look quite natural. You could also try a wig.

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

I don't know about any temporary black non-spary hair dyes, but you could permanently dye it and then use Color Oops! to get rid of it if you don't like it. (Color Oops!- $19.99 at any WalMart)

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

Jazzums is really good. It comes in a pink bottle with a pointy tip. Be careful though because if you get it on your face, you will be walking around with a black spot for a couple of days. If you want something really, really temporary, you should try spray on die. It washes out with one or two washes completely. Jazzums will take a couple more times to come completely out.

Good Luck

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

Temporary or not, I would think Black hair dye in Blonde hair is going to leave some type of discoloration. I don't believe that if you change your mind completely and decide you don't want it black at all, that it's going to wash out to the point that you wouldn't see it at all. You have to remember, even though it's temporary, they have to make it permanent enough that it won't wash out while swimming, walking in the rain, etc.

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

If you've got very light blonde hair then I wouldn't recommend it at all!

Washing the black out would be impossible, it would probably leave it a grey-ish colour :\

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

Color pulse is good but I don't know if they have black...

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

I wouldnt suggest u do that... the hair dye stays in for about a month or longer.. especially with black hair dye.. that is the hardest to get rid of...and if u r blonde it will take even longer and ruin ur hair color in the end....

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

before i went to beauty school i was naturally blonde and i loved it. In beauty school we colored my hair black and ive never gone back to anything else.

Honestly temoprary hair dye is not good for your hair and you may not get it back to the same color once you try it.

i suggest going to a salon and coloring your hair a dark brown or dark red brown (the cosmetologist will know whats best for you based on your skin) Black is very difficult to lift out of the hair. Browns are easier to lift back to blonde and this way you can see what you would look like with darker hair and if you think you would like black, go for it. if you dont like it, go back to the salon in a month and have them lift it.

another option is to go to a wig store. Not like party city, there are real wig stores and see what black might look like on you.

dont go with temporary color, it will not look good when you try to get it out. At home stuff is never safe, i dont reccomend it at all.

there are also websites that you can check out, you might have to pay a fee but you load your picture and it changes your hair style so you can see what you would look like.

good luck

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

Color Pulse will do the trick.

Electric black, it has a hint of dark blue but it does work.

It will fade every time you wash your hair, until it gets back to your natural hair colour.

But the fading process might not turn out so well, it may fade into a dark grey before it gets back to your natural colour.

Go to a local drugstore and check the packaging and see what the fading color will be for your hair.

It is on the back of the box and will show you the results with the colour of hair you have.

Hope this helps!

Temporary black hair dye that washes out really fast?

temporary black hair dye acutally ends up staying in long er than permanent black.

im not sure why, but its factual.

ive used it and it never came out,

my friends have used it and it wouldnt come out.

and my other friend did permanent and it came out faster.

unless you want to use that extremely fake spray on hair color that makes your hair hard and rinses out after a day.

Help WITH HAIR DYE???

hi...ok if I want to dye my hair a lighter brown( I currently have dark brown hair), do I have to bleach it first? Also what brand hair dye has the best natural colors? thanks!*

Help WITH HAIR DYE???

okay DO NOT bleach it, That will fry your hair. But what you should do is but a hair dye with a color a little lighter than the color you want because you have darker hair.then you leave it in for the suggested time and voila!

ps.if you are just experimenting then try clairol naturals!

Help WITH HAIR DYE???

DONT bleach it, ull fry it, just dye it the color you want, or better yet, leave the color you have, and get DRAMATIC highlights!

Is it safe to dye my hair permantly twice?

i dyed my hair permanently and wanted it to be dark brown. the color was called dark ash brown. it ended up being an orangish/reddish light brown which was lighter than my original hair color and i hate it. i went to the salon and got it dyed dark brown but it only lasted about 2 or 3 weeks and still had a reddish tint to it. is it safe to dye it permanently twice and what are the best hair dye brands for dark brown without the reddish/orange pigment?

Is it safe to dye my hair permantly twice?

I usually dye my hair every four to five weeks but it might dry your hair depending on your hair type. I have the same problem, if I dye it brown it comes out reddish. My stylist said it was because I have natural red highlights in my hair. You might try a different salon and explain your problem.

Is it safe to dye my hair permantly twice?

Yes it is safe, and if u had it done, but didn't come out the way they said it would u should make them do it for free the next time.

Whats a good permanent hair dye that stays for a long time?

For some reason hair dye always comes out of my hair in just a couple of shampoo's. Even permanent doesn't last longer then a week! It seems to keep getting lighter each day. My hair is light brown-goldish and I hate the gold. I also like my hair a little bit darker.

Is there any hair dye's that work really good? The colors are good and they stay for a long time? Thankyou!

Whats a good permanent hair dye that stays for a long time?

SPRAY PAINT

Whats a good permanent hair dye that stays for a long time?

Yeah when I use to dye my hair dark brown it would be an oranging//gold within two weeks....I tried garnier fructis' hair dye and it stayed in my hair for a long time...like two-three months!!! Good luck

Hair Dye- Black?

I have dark brown hair, brown eyes and my skin is tanned. I want to dye my hair black. Do you think it will look good?

Hair Dye- Black?

yes

Hair Dye- Black?

What colour is your hair now?

But anyway I think as long as you keep your skin tanned, black would look really good, or maybe with a blueish/plummy tinge to make it more funky?

Hair Dye- Black?

no

Hair Dye- Black?

Sure.. just remember that once you dye your hair black.. it's hard to change it again without damaging it, because you have to strip it. I love black hair though.

Hair Dye- Black?

No! Unless you don't care about it looking natural.

Hair Dye- Black?

no. stay w/ your natural hair color.

Hair Dye- Black?

depends on what shade of black and what style you sport, but nature often does a good job of making people's color match already.

it's all temporary!

YES I THINK IT WOULD LOOK GREAT BUT REMEMBER THAT ONCE YOU COLOR YOUR HAIR YOU HAVE TO KEEP UP WITH EVERY 4TO 6 WEEKS OR IT WILL BEGIN TO LOOK LIKE%^%26amp;*^%26amp;%...BLACK WILL FADE ALOT QUICKER THAN SOME OF THE OTHER COLORS..IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO IT YOURSELF MAKE SURE TO READ THE DIRECTIONS AND FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEM..DON;T TRY TO UT CORNERS...THAT'S A GOOD WAY TO %%%%EVERYTHING...HOPE YOU LIKE IT ONCE IT;S DONE...HAVE FUN

Hair Dye- Black?

i was the same i dyed my hair black and it looked great and my friend who was a huge copycat dyed her hair black and it looked like she had a wig on cause she had like a pale tan skin it was gross but it looked good on me cause i had tan skin and if you don't like it then you can take the color out with revlon hair color removed it takes out only the dyed color so it would be back to natrual

Hair Dye- Black?

it will probably look fine, but keep in mind that black is permanent, that is to say, if you want to lighten it or highlight it later it is a huge problem and often turns bright orange or purple....black is a big committment.

Hair Dye- Black?

yes, but remember once you dye it black it's very hard to go back to lighter colors so think about it. I think a light brown or chocolate would be better for summer.

Hair Dye- Black?

Stay natural. Black hair can sometimes look blue in the light which then makes the hair look fake.. You are best to stay dark brown cause it willstill make your tan look great.

Hair Dye- Black?

wow black hair color is on the rise . i have had 3 clients now in 2 days wanting it . but remember black is hard to get out and if you want hilites or some other color you will be going thru a lot and it wont happen on one visit . also dont do it yourself. personally to from your description of yourself it would look to much darkness,in the summer you naturally go lighter.

Hair Dye- Black?

nope, try a highlight in a darker blonde, or medium blonde. the contrast will make you tan pop! also try smart style salon inside wal-mart's, they're good...and pick up some Sabestian hare care product while your there, it is the very best...not too pricey, they offer about 20 products in their line...it smells like heaven, and makes your hair love you back....lots of luck...

Hair Dye- Black?

I've been coloring my hair for a long time. If you would like to have your hair black, than try a simi permanent color. It will wash out faster than a permanent color. Of course your bet bet is to have a beauty salon do it. The next best is a beauty supply store. They would be more than happy to help you out. I used to do nails, but know just a little about hair.

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

I am looking for hair dye that I can buy and use myself that is a close match to Lindsay Lohan's hair when it was a deep red.

I've tried a few different hair dyes but none have been close to looking the same colour as hers.

Any ideas?

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

I would say Wella (koleston perfect) 7/64 with 6 or 9% (Deepend your colour most prob a 6%)

You need to go to sallys and buy this!

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

go to a hairdressers and show em a picture of her.

they will do it great dont try this at home :P

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

i don't as it really does depend on the colour and condition of your own hair. feria do a lot of reds so you could try one of those-good luck!

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

Unless you have blonde hair, you will not get the same results even if you use the exact thing. Try going to a hair salon and asking them.

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

probably a mix of Vomit and Schnapps

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

probably a dark chestnut colour, but i would ask a hairdresser

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

Garnier Nutrisse has tons of cute red shades but #68 Lucious Mango looks pretty close

Anyone know a hair dye that is as closer shade as possible to Lindsay Lohan's red hair?

medium irish red

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

This summer, I'm pretty much doing something that I've never really done before.... I want to dye my hair blue. My friend told me that first, I need to bleech my hair to do anything. How does that work?

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

well it's best you go to a salon... it's a powdered bleach and a cream you mix them together and put it on ur hair with foils this is actually to make your hair blonde....i think you don't really need to blach it ...but i do recomend that you go to the salon to do it...

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

you can buy bleach stuff. but why blue?

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

She's right. First you have to bleach your hair so the blue will show up (unless you're blonde) and then you apply the hair dye. But make sure you REALLY want to do this because you'll be stuck with it and touching it up is difficult. Also the bleach will process your hair and make it damaged if you don't take care of it. You'll need to get shampoo for color treated/dry hair.

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

In my opinion its easier to just use blue hair spray. It works well, i've done it before!

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

well, you have to void your hair of all color before adding a color. that's like trying to paint a black box blue. it won't show up because the black is darker. or if it does show up, it'll be a dark blue. you bleach your hair to act as a 'primer', to get your hair to a lighter color so that the added color's full effect will show up.

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

I dyed my hair blue before, If you have dark hair, you might want to bleach it, before dying it. I wouldn't recommend dyeing your hair blue becuase it eventually fades to green which doesn't look too pretty and you have to keep redying it.

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

Bleach can really ruin your hair, but if you insist on doing this, buy hair bleach. DO NOT use regular bleach. You can go to any drug store and get hair bleach. Also, if your gonna dye it blue and you want to keep it looking vibrant, you are going to have to dye it again every 4-6 weeks. other-wise you will end up with washed out, half dyed, teal/blue hair. and CONDITION after you have used the bleach...ALOT!

Hair dye [[blue!!]]?

If your blond. I don't think you need to bleach it first.

Black hair dye!?

Okay, so, I dyed mt hair really retro black and its real cool looking but whenever I take a shower some of it comes out! This weekened I am going to get babtized! What if my hair dye comes out in the water, only a little washes out but even so! What can I do!? I wouldn't want to ruin the water! Or the priest's robe! What can I do? Plz help!

Black hair dye!?

omg ummm idk if u would wanna do this but go 2 ur hair dresser and get ur hair striped of the coloring the after u get baptized dye it again

Black hair dye!?

Using a clarifying shampoo 2x rinse well and then apply a moisturizing conditioner on for 15 min. Rinse well. the conditioner will seal in the color and the clarifying shampoo will rid of excess color build up remaining in your hair. continue this every 2 weeks color will remain desirerd shade.

Black hair dye!?

Omg you poor thing!!

Well, I would go swimming. The chlorine would help alot, and then use some of that after swim shampoo.

That should to it :] Good luck with the batrizm! (sp?)

Black hair dye!?

Its just because all of the dye is not out all the way. Just take a long shower and use shampoo and shower until there is no more black. It won't last until Saturday night/Sunday morning so you don't have to be worried. It should be all out by then. Good luck! %26lt;3

Temporary hair dye...Maybe without dye?

First of all, my hair is about half an inch long, except for my bangs on the left side (Which are meant to go over my eye, over time when it grows out). I'm looking for any way of coloring it, for as long as a week, minimum. Whether its household products, or cheap temporary hair dye that comes out after 6, 8, 10 etc. washes, it would be helpful if anyone had any information.

P.S. I'd rather not buy it online. For example, (Whatever brand name) from Walmart. As specific as possible.

Temporary hair dye...Maybe without dye?

mix a packet of unsweetened koolaid with a tablespoon of conditioner until its a paste.

my daughter has light hair already and i put red koolaid in her hair. it lasted her about 5 days to a week as red, then 2 more weeks as a pink till it washed out. deep cleansing shampoos will take it out quicker.

Temporary hair dye...Maybe without dye?

Try a semi-permanent dye. It will dye your hair but it will come out in a few washes.

Temporary hair dye...Maybe without dye?

Go too the mall and buy some special Effects or Manic Panic hair dye at Hot Topic. If your hair is really dark you'll need bleach as well.

Temporary hair dye...Maybe without dye?

well im not sure if u have one but at sallys beauty suply outlet they have any color u can amagine but i dont know what brand it is but i dont pink in my hair and i think it lasted for a month!

Temporary hair dye...Maybe without dye?

Is your hair dark? That is harder to color with temporary color.

You can buy those spray in colors that wash out.

But any light color in a box will lighten your hair permanently. And if your hair is dark it will get an orange color.

I'd suggest you go to a beauty supply %26amp; ask them for help. They'll be able to look at your hair %26amp; give you the right advice. The basis of hair color is what are you starting with, %26amp; then you choose from there, not what a box picture has on it. And what works for 1 person doesn't always work for someone else.

Good Luck!

Temporary hair dye...Maybe without dye?

funky colors- go to hot topic they have great wash outs

kool-aid does work as suggested with the conditioner paste.

as well as walgreens has a rinse but it comes in your basic colors- since your hair is short I am sure you will be getting residue on your scalp - if you dye all the way through instead of just tips...something to think about - do you want a orange - green - blue - purple scalp?

You suggested walmart- I bought the bright rasberry kit from there I dont know what the brand was they only had the blue or red anyway dont waste your money or time it washes out way to quick it marks and stains your pillows and it fades totally unevenly- beware! it was the kit where you can bleach out first to get a brighter effect.....

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

because i had my hair dyed like 2 months ago and its growing out and i just want to no if it would be alright if i would dye my hair normal

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

when u buy hair color as a store and color ur hair urself, you damage ur hair. you should only dye ur hair every 6 to 8 weeks . going to a salon costs a little more but some salons use hair dye that is conditioning for ur hair and doesnt have the harmful effects store bought hair dye has.

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

no problem, if u want to know anything else, i will try to help! Report It

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

trust me.... HELLA YES!!!!!!!!!!!!... ust dye it if its really necessary.. i used to die it every coupleof months too... man i regret it!

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

nope your hair will not fall out

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

after two months you should be okay, but yes, too much dying can definitely damage your hair and cause it to break off. I've had it happen and its not pleasant.

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

yeah course its fine.. but me on the other hand i dye mine every 2 weeks cause i love changing it.. but now i regret it call cause you should see my hair now lol.. it looks like it falls out but it just breaks off cause its damaged.. but if its like every 2 months or so it should be fine!!

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

no never

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

ummm no. i dye it every three weeks and it doesnt fall out.

thats a myth.

unless your talking bleaching over bleach. then...yea

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

i think two months is ok but not sure, i dont dye very often every three years or so... but i had a friend who tried to fix her hair too much and it did start shedding.

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

i knew this woman once who dyed her hair a lot and one day she dyed it and almost all of her hair fell out even her pubic hair. i dont know if it happens a lot but i know its not good for your hair to dye it a lot it dries it out and makes it break more easily.

If you dye your hair to much dose your hair fall out?

just read the box. if there is any possible way it can bald you I'm sure they'll have it plastered all over just like coffee cups warn you that the scalding hot liquid just inside CAN burn you. And look at it this way, if there is no warning like that, and your hair does fall out, well what a relatively inexpensive way to earn a couple million dollars!

Kool-aid hair dye?

how do i dye my hair with kool-aid and have it turn out looking good.

i mean i dont want to do all of my hair in the dye

just a couple streaks

and how long does it last?

also what colors would people recommend for my hair its blonde on top with dark brown underneath

Kool-aid hair dye?

this would be cool to know. its added to my watch list and you get a star.

Kool-aid hair dye?

it lasts about a few months depending on how well you do it. The colour i would recomend for you is golden blonde hair.

Kool-aid hair dye?

Kool Aid is not a hair "color." It will stain the hair %26amp; is not good for the hair, besides that, it's very sticky.

Kool-aid hair dye?

i think u should just buy sum hair coloring it only cost about 4 or 5 dollars.......i think u should put a amber or sum kind of orange brownish color on your hair that would look really nice

Kool-aid hair dye?

dying your hair with koolaid is really sticky and gross plus if you have a light colored hair it may not come out until your hair grows out.probally not a good idea.

Kool-aid hair dye?

My mom, when I was little, put some of the powder on her finger and rubbed streaks in my wet hair. Permanent hair dyes are alot worse than kool aid. I would suggest red, blue, and green, kool aid. AkA. Cherry, Blue lemonade, and lime. The red to the longest to wash out. but it came out in a day.

Schwarzkopf live hair dye?

iv always used schwarzkopf live hair dye, but recently when i try to re-dye it the same colour nothing really changes except for the roots where it had grown out. i tried one of the luminance colours for dark hair (my hair is black) and yet again it didnt do anything! is there anything i can do to get the colour off faster? im getting fed up of black and would like to have a different colour!

Schwarzkopf live hair dye?

apparently anti-dandruff shampoo works faster than normal shampoo to get hair dye off, try that, massage shampoo in your hair, leave it on for about 10mins before you rinse it off. good luck!

Schwarzkopf live hair dye?

washing up liquid fades dye fast.

Schwarzkopf live hair dye?

I love the live colours ..i was blonde and changed to cosmic blue its really nice and lasts well , i always use Dove shampoo and condidtioner to keep the colour x

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

can i lighten my hair with a semi permanent hair dye? or does it have to be permanent? pls help!

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

no you shouldn't lighten your hair with semi-permanent. it will fade to orange. you really shouldn't bleach/lighten your hair at home. you should do at a salon

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

u have to bleach it. depends your hair color. and what uve done to ur hair in the past.

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

you CAN'T lighten your hair with semi-permant, there's no amonia in it. Semi is deposit color only, it doesn't lift the hair.

...there are only two ways to lighten hair...

1) with 'bleach"

2) with permanant color such as a highlift blonde. Keep in mind permanant color will not lift colored hair.

If you can't afford going to a salon, see if there's a cosmotolgy school in the area, the prices are beyond cheap!

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

i have tried lightening my hair a million times..if u go semi permanent it will eventually fade into an orange brassy color if you have red in your hair at all. I would go permanent all the way.. Good Luck!

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

There's a dye out called total blonde. I used it on my hair which is black and it made me blonde. HOWEVER: start at your ends and work up to your roots. The roots take to the dye super fast and it will turn orange. But overall, that's the best tip I have. If your hair is naturally blonde, and it's dark now, I'd personally SLOWLY go back to blonde. Go to auburne then to dark blone and then to light, or however far you need to go. Good luck.

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

you can lighten it, but it wont stay for ever seeing as it is a semi=permanment hair dye. if you want the colour for ever, use a permament hair dye. good luck! =]

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

Permanent, Semi will not lighten because it doesnt contain any peroxide, ammonia, or any lightening agents. Just strait color.

HAIR DYE DISASTOR! 10 points!?

If you dyed your hair already with a permanent dye, than the only way to remove that color is with a permanent color.

Semi permanent will work on another semi -perm. hair dye, etc.

good luck!

Does temporary hair dye mess up blonde highlights?

My friend and I are wanting to temporarily dye our hair red in honor of the Harry Potter book coming out, but my friend is not sure if she should do this because she just highlighted her hair blonde.

If we were to temporarily dye our hair, would it mess up her highlights? We don't want to do this if it would stain her highlights because she just spent a lot of money to get them done.

Does temporary hair dye mess up blonde highlights?

YES!!! It will ruin them...what happens is...when you're hair is highlighted, it is done with a bleach...the bleach makes the hair more porous, so it acts like a sponge...If you dye your hair red with a temporary hair color, it will not wash all the way out of the highlights, because the porous hair will absorb it, it will probably have a very pink tint to it...I would just pass on this....

Does temporary hair dye mess up blonde highlights?

well i wouldnt think so....

Does temporary hair dye mess up blonde highlights?

A temporary hair color will not wash all out. it will mess up her hilites

Is men's hair dye and diffrent then women's?

My God brother wants me to dye his hair black for him. Does it matter if I use My hair dye. Or Do I have to go out and buy men's hair dye for him.

Is men's hair dye and diffrent then women's?

I know a lot of guys who use women's hair dye. The different dyes are a money racket. Men's hair dye costs more.

Is men's hair dye and diffrent then women's?

no it doesn't matter....but i would use a womens dye instead and use a semi perm not permanent..otherwise he might look dull colorwise...maybe even a wash out...he could always hate the hair color especially black

Is men's hair dye and diffrent then women's?

Nope, it's just a marketing thing. The hair dye marketed towards women *may* have more hair dye included to cover longer hair styles, but that's just a guess on my part. The ingredients are the same, so I say go with whatever is cheaper.

Is men's hair dye and diffrent then women's?

actually, there is a difference... in my experience, men's hair tends to have stronger underlying red pigment (especially if the hair has grey or is going from light brown to dark brown then more ash is needed and lower the volume of peroxide)but if you are tinting his hair black it's not a problem... go ahead and use women's tint... I love Feria by L'Oreal... they have the nicest dark colors... don't use if he has grey as it won't cover use Preference by L'Oreal instead

RAW purple hair dye?

http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/p...

My favorite color is purple, and I've tried 5 times to get my hair color purple. I find this link, and I'm skeptical. Hot Topic Boasts that this purple hair dye is permanent, but I've heard there is no such thing as permanent purple hair dye.

Any thoughts?

RAW purple hair dye?

Im a hairdresser and there is no such thing as permanent purple hair color. But, there is stuff called "demipermanent" which is between semipermanent and permanent. My hair has been purple for 2 years now and I use Scruples Urban Shock. It works really good if you use it underheat. Try It. HotTopic color is crap, and NEVER buy ManicPanic haircolor.

RAW purple hair dye?

Don't do it!

RAW purple hair dye?

Well Hot Topic Hair Dye DOES work, very well actually :)

but for best results like EXTRA purple. u will have to bleach your hair :)

RAW purple hair dye?

My favorite color is purple too and if you use raw dye i think you should bleach your hair to make it look more vibrant because when u dont bleach it looks like a purpleish tint which looks awesome too(it fades though). If you do bleach your hair and it is too vibrant wash it 2 times a day to make it fade. Never use loreal color pulse it makes your hair different colors I used it on my hair and my hair was a different color everyday

RAW purple hair dye?

Try it

Hot Topic is a good store, with few brands of dye.

I'm sure they work.

Trust em!

Permanent Blue Hair Dye Anyone?

I'm looking for a permanent blue hair dye. I use it for the tips of my hair after it's bleached, of course. (my hair is typical Indian black).

The thing is, I can't keep redying it with Manic Panic during swim season - that would be every other day! I was thinking of using Indigo. You know, that natural plant dye. Except I can't find it, or any other kind of artificial blue. I'm looking for a dark, royal blue, by the way. Not sky blue.

Permanent Blue Hair Dye Anyone?

ill ask my nan, she always has blue hair.

Permanent Blue Hair Dye Anyone?

I had the same prob some years ago

I never found any, all the ones i came across are semi-permanent and i was looking for royal to midnight blue, but with no luck

Permanent Blue Hair Dye Anyone?

go get it permantly dyed at a hair salon it will stay better or either look at sally's beauty supplies for it!!!!

Permanent Blue Hair Dye Anyone?

well go to a beauty supply store. there is actually blue, purple, whatever color you want there. thats the first place i would look.

Permanent Blue Hair Dye Anyone?

Try "Raw" hair dye. The dark blues are supposed to last up to three or four months, and it says it's permanent. I haven't used mine yet, though.
