Dos spray on hair dye stain sometimes? How powerful is it? Will it kill my hair?

I am thinking about using a spray on dye for a cosplay. My hair is about a medium brown leaning more towards dark brown and is down to my butt. I am thinking about turning it bright pink. Will a spray on do that for me? Does it cover the whole hair or just the top layer? Does it chunk up in your hair? Does it damage your hair to bad? Does it rub off on clothes? Will it wash out easy in one or two washs like it claims? If you know anything better that washs out in one or two washs leaving no stains feel free to tell me!

It does rub off on clothes if it touches then, it will also rub off on your hand. It will not damage your hair but it will make it stiff like hairspray until you wash it out. It usually only takes one wash to remove it. I would get a semi permanent color gel... It takes more washes but it doesn't rub out or stiffen hair...

No it will not, because it's no pigment implant or no other harsh chemicals. When you wash your hair, it will wash right out. It will also rub onto your clothes if it's not dry.

It's just a quick cover up

Peroxide it, that'll bleach your hair totally out, lol.

Best get a hairdresser to do it though.

Clairol's products are good for all races, and I suggest you use those spray colors so you can change as often as you want. They sales them at Wal-Mart. Just an FYI the one before mines is totally wrong, Peroxide and bleach will strip you hair and also make it fall out!!! I Guarantee you.

Does anyone know of a hair dye that is kind to your hair.?

I want to permanently keep my hair a sort of pinky/plum red. The dye I have used has turned it orange (I am a yellow blond). I would love a dye that is kind to your hair that will dye it sort of plum red, nor orangey red. There are a lot of dyes that contain either bleach or amonia. Some of them don't admit to this till you have bought and opened the packet. So any advice would be welcome.

Or any types to avoid!

Thanks

Red dye is the hardest to create and maintain. If this is your first time dying your hair this colour, I suggest you see a stylist, at least for this dye, especially as you have already dyed your hair once, and further dying can be very damaging. I also reccommend you invest in a very good conditioning treatment. Darker dyes are less likely to use as much ammonia, but most dyes use similar chemicals to ensure that it actually alters the chemical composition of your hair. The Garnier lines seem to be fairly kind to hair, and usually don't damage mine that much. If you want your hair to be lighter, then the dye will definately have bleach or ammonia in it.

IT's NOT DYE... IT'S COLOR. YOU DYE YOUR CLOTHES AND COLOR YOUR HAIR!!! Report It

Henna is bad for your hair, and almost everyone's hair has gold and red undertones. Report It

Permanent hair dye question?

This is the first time my sister is dying her hair with permanent hair color. She's using Ion color brilliance. She has to mix the hair dye with the creme developer.... Should she use gloves? What type of bowl should she mix it in? What should she use to mix it?

Permanent hair dye question?

Um....if she doesn't know to wear gloves or not, she should not even be *thinking* about dying her hair herself.

Permanent hair dye question?

Just follow the directions, she'll be fine.

Permanent hair dye question?

yes she should wear gloves, just a plastic bowl, and a metal or wooden spoon

Permanent hair dye question?

I'm not sure what comes in a home color kit. But never mix color in a metallic bowl. Did it come with a brush to apply the color? If so, mix it with that. And always use gloves. Since it's her first time coloring with permanent color, make sure you watch her scalp the whole time she's processing to make sure she doesn't have an allergic reaction to the pigment.

Permanent hair dye question?

I assume you bought the color at a beauty supply since ion color brillance is a proffessional product. I use it myself, and I am a stylist. Any time you use a permanent hair dye the first time, a patch test should be done first. This is one reason it should be done proffessionally the first time at least. I am a hairstylist, and I have also had a bad reaction to a patch test (a test done in salon to determine if you will react to the dye allergically)when I was younger. I don't react any longer to permanent hair dye, but allergic reactions can change. I would get it done proffessionally at least the first time.

Permanent hair dye question?

She should wear gloves unless her hands will be colored. She need to use a small plastic or glass bowl that is designated for this purpose. She should not use this bowl for eating later on. She can use a straw or plastic stick to mix the formula. By the way, that is a nice hair color that she is using-

Permanent hair dye question?

Im going to assume that she probably picked that dye up from Sally Beauty since they are the only Beauty Supply store that carry it (I know from experience - i work there lol) tell her that yes she needs to have a pair of gloves. If she doesnt have gloves she can buy a single pair at Sally's for about 50 cents. Tell her to mix it with developer (2 ounces of developer per box of ion dye). If she's going to mix it in a bowl, use a plastic bowl (you can also pick those up at Sallys for about 2 dollars). It's not hard, I do it all the time and i've done all of my friends hair and my mothers hair. Ion is by far the best line we have. If she has any further questions, tell her to ask the ladies or guys at Sallys. Good luck!

Natural Black Hair Dye?

Ok.

I want to dye my hair black.

A little scared to ask my parents because they'll think its a little weird.

People bleach theyre hair with peroxide.

Is there anything I can mix together at home to get black hair dye. Not anything uncommon like Indigo or Henna though.

Please Help!

Thanks :]

Natural Black Hair Dye?

well really i wouldnt ever bleach my hair with peroxide since it will fall out lol

buttt no not really.

just go to a store a buy some.

but from a beauty supply store for best results it can fade to an off purple/green (kinda oily color) if you get a drug store - box - dye. So pls dont.

make sure you rince really really well since it can transfer.

Natural Black Hair Dye?

No, nothing natural, plus you may burn your hair and have it break off. Buy a kit from a drugstore.

What hair dye will damage my hair the least?

im dying it dark dark brown almost black and i need a good dye that wont damage my hair or dry my scalp (its sensitive)

i was thinking loreal natural match or excellence creme but ive heard that natural match makes the hair dull, which i do not want!

so any help would be appreciated.

What hair dye will damage my hair the least?

getting it done at a salon would damage it the least..it's a little more expensive than buying box dye, but it's worth it. you don't want to ruin your hair...plus it will last longer and look more natural. because sometimes when you do your hair on your own it turns out a weird color thats way dfferent than the color they show on the box.

What hair dye will damage my hair the least?

DO NOT DYE IT BLACK, it will NEVER come out. (I did this by accident, I have medium brown hair). If you are going to dye your hair, you will get the least amout of damage from the salon. If you want the least amount of damage from a home dye, you should use one that is semi-premanent, like Clariol Herbal essences.

What hair dye will damage my hair the least?

I think I may have answered another one of your questions. Not sure, but anyway.

You can get good results with a dye that has no ammonia in it. It doesnt matter whether its semi or permenant, but whether it has ammonia.

What hair dye will damage my hair the least?

something without ammonia...this penetrates the cuticle and softens it to allow the color to penetrate..its very harsh and brands like miss clairol have lots of ammonia in them...also peroxide actually changes the genetic structure of your hair until it grows out...this is permanent so stay away from peroxide as well...their is a bunch of colors called loving care...they have no ammonia no peroxide...color glosses are safe too they are temp..such as John Frieda...try these instead...trust me damage to hair is not cool
